Coelho da Páscoa

O coelho representa o nascimento, a esperança da vida e é um dos símbolos da Páscoa.
Está relacionado com a Páscoa, comemorada pelos cristãos por representar a esperança de vida após a Ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
Vários povos da antiguidade já consideravam o coelho como símbolo da fertilidade, pois quando o longo inverno acabava e chegava a primavera, os coelhos eram os primeiros animais que saíam das tocas. Os coelhos só passaram a representar um símbolo no Brasil no final do século XVII, trazidos pelos imigrantes alemães.

Various people of antiquity have considered the rabbit as a symbol of fertility, for when the long winter ended and spring came, the rabbits were the first animals that came out of the woodwork. Rabbits only came to represent a symbol in Brazil in the late seventeenth century, brought by German immigrants.
